Jumping Jamies

Did you know I love Jamie Bell? Cause I do. A lot. He has a new movie coming out some time in the future (Feb 15 for America) called Jumper. It's a science fiction movie directed by Doug Liman and starring, unfortunately, Hayden Christensen and a hilarious-looking Samuel L Jackson. Christensen and Bell play people who can... jump around through space and time? I dunno. The trailer, which can be viewed right here, isn't particularly clear on that point.

But you know what is clear. Jamie Bell looks scrumptious as a crumpet. Can I have some more?

More on the trailer for Jumper (starring my boyfriend, Jamie Bell) in a bit but I found this thing on the official website incredibly amusing. Oxymoron fans rejoice! Click the image below if you can't quit read what it says.

Happy 21st Birthday Jamie Bell!

It's 5 months and 1 day after my 21st, so that means...

Today is a monumental occasion for my beloved Jamie Bell. It's his 21st birthday! He of the most eclectic filmography of anyone his age right now. He of that adorable face in Billy Elliot who grew up to be such a major spunk. I've made no effort to hide my affection for Jamie. He's just so freakin' lovable. I wanna fold him up and put him in my pocket before taking him out and going on an all night drinking and smoking bender (which his myspace profile suggests he does often).

His movie roles are, as I've said, quite eclectic for someone his age. He went from the Lars Von Trier-conceived American gun allegory of Dear Wendy to the Peter Jackson big budget King Kong remake, to the weird hipster Chumscrubber and then to a Clint Eastwood World War II movie in Flags of Our Fathers (IGGY!!!)

His greatest performance, in my eyes, is still Billy Elliot, but his turn as a runaway orphan in Undertow continues to formulate in my mind, and I still reckon he knew way more than he was giving away in Dear Wendy. Upcoming he has Hallam Foe and is currently filming Jumper, based on the science fiction novel of the same name by Steven Gould, to be directed by Doug Liman (yay). In the latter he will be seen opposite Samuel L Jackson, Hayden Christensen (as much flak as he gets, he's impressed me twice outside of Star Wars so I'm not entirely fussed) and Aussie newcomer and recent AFI Best Actress nominee Teresa Palmer. Here's hoping they're good. They definitely seem to fit the profile of the types of projects Jamie is taking.

So, I wish Jamie the best 21st birthday ever (well, as great as it can possibly be without me). He totally has my heart.
