Jamie the Joker

'What happens if I get an erection? What happens if I don't get an erection? Is she going to be upset?' There's a lot of things to consider! ...I'd walk up to David and say, 'Oh David, I should wear a sock.' He's like, 'don't worry about the sock.' So I'm buck naked in the treehouse? He's like... 'yeah'.

Y'all know I love love love Jamie Bell and he recently did an interview and photospread for Dazed and Confused, which you can read here. Some of the photos - not the one to the left - are kind of bizarre and in one or two he has Joker (as in Batman) makeup on. I'm not sure what to make of that.

All you British Bell fans will need to let me know how his new film Hallem Foe is like! It's released over in the UK on August 31. I doubt Australia will have as much luck. Below are some more pictures from the photoshoot (there are eight in total, so click the link for the article to see the rest).

(okay, so I posted all the pictures. I couldn't help myself.)

I'm really looking forward to Hallam Foe- there was an interview in Total Film this week with Jamie and Sophia Myles (all trussed up in fancy clothes) that really played up the Hitchcockian elements it supposedly has, which naturally gets my interest. The review was really positive too, so I just hope it gets a big enough release.

What the fuck is going on in that photoshoot? And why am I turned on by a man in clown makeup?

I think that's something you need to figure out for yourself Rural cause I haven't the faintest idea.

But, you're turned on because it's Jamie Bell and he's amazing.

Wait -- socks? Erections? Treehouses? WTF?

he's perfect even with the scary joker thing.

Sora, it was a quote from the article about filming his first sex scene.

The treehouse and the silly make-up are part of the film; Jamie's character likes to go and hide in his treehouse and live there like a sort of modern-day Davy Crockett crossed with a cross-dresser. He also loves to aggressively paint his face in war-like colours. It all makes sense if you see the film, which you should, 'cause it is really intriguing.
