USA Today has a big preview of New Line's movie musical revamp Hairspray, which stars John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Blonsky, Queen Latifah, Christopher Walken, Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes and even has cameos by original Hairspray gang leaders John Waters and Ricki Lake! You know what's encouraging about this - the talk about Adam Shankman. Most people were scared about his announcement, but it hopefully seems like he might know what he's doing. I love his quote - "I'm not Chris Columbus doing Rent." We'll see later this year.

I bow down to thee! I seriously thought I would be the only person game enough to name The Black Dahlia's Fiona Shaw as one of the five Supporting Actresses of the year, but along comes Nat to do just that. YAAAAYYY! Go Fiona!!!!!

Ja brings up a good reference in The Core, but that movie was absolute trash and I have faith in Danny Boyle.
