I think every time I've seen a picture of Pottery Barn I never actually see any pottery. That episode of Friends where Rachel bought a lot of stuff from Pottery Barn? NO POTTERY!
And who in their right minds whats a candle shaped like a aubergine?
Why does everyone bash meatloaf? It's the strangest thing. Another blogger (from South Africa) dedicated an entire post to his total dislike of meatloaf. Since you're writing about meatloaf, I'll tell you about meatloaf. It represents the resourcefulness of the American housewife during the great depression and other hard times. Have you heard of the great depression? Do you realize that the early part of the 20th century was overwhelmed by wars and hardship? Anyway, during times of war or economic hardship, the great American housewife would turn to meatloaf to feed her family. I’m sure there are similar dishes in Europe and other areas.
That's like saying you have to appreciate haggis, sheep's eyes, roast dog, etc. or any number of appalling variants that members of different cultures dredged up because they were poor and hungry at the time.

Stale Popcorn, noun, 1. A veritable cornucopia of movie geekdom, celebrity worship, Australian film discussion and all with occasional musical interludes! All wrapped up in the salty buttery taste of movie popcorn that's been sitting in the box for too long. What's not to love?
Everything that is written on this webpage - Stale Popcorn and any tangents from it - is written by me, Glenn Dunks, unless otherwise stated. It is appreciated that if you wish to reproduce any of that you do so with an appropriate link (please do not copy it all because that gives your reader no reason to come by here and possibly increase my traffic).
If any pictures or music files are posted on Stale Popcorn that are owned by you and wish to be credited for or have removed please feel free to send me an email using one of the addresses at the top of the page. I will gladly oblige.

I also don't understand Pottery Barn but, then again, I'm not a 40 year old woman.

Of these three, the only one I truly understand is PB+J. So maybe I'm only 1/3 American.
Don't you go knocking meatloaf! In the right hands, meatloaf can be goddamned invigorating!
And I was raised on PB&J sandwiches. That, macaroni & cheese (Kraft of course!), and fish-sticks. Ah, my mother was such a fine cook.

I guess I can accept his popularity in the 1970s, but his comeback in the mid-1990s made no sense to me.
Apparently, I'm not an American; I'm pretty much indifferent to all shown.
Yay?
Neel - ...huh?
GPRB - I have never been nor am I ever going to be an American housewife.
Apothecary table!!
Don't knock it till you try it.
Being an American housewife? Or meatloaf? I'm confused.

RJ, my favourite bit in that episode is the "awww.... hahahaha!" moment. APOTHECARY TABLE!!!
