And why does he have a new song with my God of Gods Bruce Springsteen? It was an accident that I came across this song at my work (the work where I write for a music press) and actually gasped in front of my boss and I went all "omigod!!" and even mentioned how many days it is until his birthday (one month and seven days, okay) like I'm some obsessed fan (...) Anyway, so I have no idea who this Jesse Malin is but I'm very interested. The album, which his Bruce collaboration "Broken Radio" features, (Glitter in the Gutter) is apparently very good and allmusic states "He ... evokes all the desperation of the bleary-eyed romantics in the young Springsteen", so, you know, it sounds right up my alley! I can hear a bit of Bruce in his voice, actually. Early Bruce. Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ Bruce. Also, give him a few more years and he could be sexy like Bruce. Below is the video.
