Sneak Peak (or not)

Because I feel bad about going about this so slowly (whatever, my Graduation presentation was tonight, I have a life) here is, perhaps, my Best Actress lineup. Don't tell anyone.

...or I could be lying about one of them. It's up to you to decide which, if any, it is.

Now, I'm gonna go read some of Ian McEwan's Atonement and head to bed. I shocked myself by getting Atonement out at the library. I haven't read a proper fiction book in a long while. I should try to do it more regularly. I'm just not made for it though, I think.

Hm, a challenge. From what I can gather, Linney is in absolutely, but won't win. You've stated that more than once. Streep seems a little obvious, along with Cruz and Dench. Hm. If I were to vote which to get rid of (which is obviously not the case) I'd vote off Cruz of those three, but she Top 10 Best Actress for me, so it's hard. But I looked back in your archives and you said Cruz was your Oscar vote, so she's locked (I'm clever.) And you said Judi was brilliant.

But you said that Emily Barclay, and I quote, "The great Emily B, Gets lost in the second half, Coke-injected rush." Hm. Suspicion looms.

Locks: Laura Linney, Jindabyne + Penelope Cruz, Volver
"Brilliant": Judi Dench, Notes on a Scandal
It Seems Like She'll Make It... Or Not... No, probably: Meryl Streep, The Devil Wears Prada
Prediction of Not There: Emily Barclay, Surburban Mayhem. I could be wrong.

I dedicate too much time and energy to things.

(And "Atonement" is non-fiction? Really?)

Atonement is fiction. About as fictional as it's possible to get, actually.

lol, obviously. I dunno why I wrote non-fiction. I usually read non-fiction stuff. Blah. Edited.

JD, you may or may not be right.

I predict that you will not include Emily Barclay for Suburban Mayhem
