Now Featuring Hilary Swank!

I should be sleeping, I know. I was over at RottenTomatoes just sniffing around to see what was what (you know what? Grindhouse has 81% fresh and is competing for the Palme D'or in Cannes, that's what!) and I came across this curious, but ever so chuckle-enducing ad for a feature they have that ranks the worst reviewed movies of all time. I just love the adage "Now with The Reaping". I do give Hilary a hard time occasionally (occasionally?) but this should raise a laugh out of anyone. Although maybe they should have alternate ads. One with The Reaping another that reads "Now with Wild Hogs" or "Now with Norbit" or "Now with Are We Done Yet?" or... well, you get the picture.

Isn't it kind of scary that the two women, who are depicted, share 3 of the 8 most recent Oscars for Best Actress?

Honestly, I hate being the only person who really loved The Reaping. It's religious horror and AnnaSophia Robb. I had to see it. And I don't think that Hilary Swank is evil. Dakota Fanning is... and that's why I love AnnaSophia so much. She has more talent in one finger than that Anti-Christ has in her whole body! What were talking about?

It's sad that it's only March and 2007 keeps turning out stuff worthy of that list

Uh... it's April.

woops...well, my point's the same

Agreed. April or March doesn't really matter. The shit is just piling up.

And Chris, it is scary. Very scary.

my goal is always to see how long i can go without seeing a film released in the new year.

it was ruined the otherday when we say blades of glory, but so far it's the only 2007 released film i've seen.

swank is all hit or miss.

Yeah, last year, I didn't see anything until United 93 in March. This year I cracked pretty early with Bridge to Terabithia... but I still have missed most of the good stuff this year, like Zodiac and The Lookout... The Lookout disappeared from my local mall in like a week...

Yeah, we're still getting 2006 movies in freakin' July. But I've done with it for the most part except for a couple of titles (Golden Flower, INLAND EMPIRE, Wind That Shakes the Barley perhaps)

You know Glenn, you could just count them as 2007 releases. For films outside the US that are released in 2006, but don't come here till this year, I count them as this year. Like The Wind That Shakes the Barley. I'm counting that as '07 whenever the hell I see it. Or at least set a markpoint, which I think you have.

That's because America rules the world. :/

No, but really, if I did that it would get so complicated and it would domino effect and sooner or later I'd be choosing things from two years prior.

If I count Barley as a 2007 film (when it came out here in something like September) then I might as well withhold stuff like Jindabyne and that's just silly. It's not my fault distributers withhold movies from America.

I was just using it as an example is all. :(

And Glenn, you haven't posted in... [checks watch] more than 2 1/2 days. Yet you comment. Blogger dry spell?

This weekend has been busy and I'm tired. I was busy for most of Friday, after that I had a Twin Peaks marathon and sleep and seeing Disturbia and sleep and then i had work at 6.30 Sunday morning so I'm really tired right now.

You're lucky you're getting this.
