The Future is Nearly Here

I'd feel sorry for American cinema-goers if it weren't for the for the fact that this barely makes up for anything.

But, still, it's gonna be sorta awesome to get this movie over two months before the US. Australia and, it would seem, the rest of the world. I was completely unaware of this until I saw a small ad in the Herald Sun today for it saying "Only at the Movies from Oct 19" and I thought it had to be wrong. But, no, it's right apparently and I hope it remains that way. Here's hoping they don't go "Hmm... America hasn't got it for another two months. Let's withhold it's release until March then. That makes sense."

Of course, the UK has already had it be released and you can check out Tim's (from MainlyMovies) review here.

that's really bizarre...any ideas on why they're releasing that way?

Well, some believe that they changed the US release date to December so that it fits better into the awards season.

But... yeah. I dunno. Maybe they want some distance between that and The Fountain?
