Festival Timetable!

So I received the timetable today for the AFI Festival of Film. All I have to say is, thank god I have already seen several of these titles or else it would completely wipe me out. I plan to see every single film and short that I haven't already seen. That means that My timetable currently looks like this (eep)

Ouch. Ouch. That's some serious movie going y'all. The numbers in brackets is the film length. They've obviously made it so that AFI members (such as myself) can see as many of the films as possible as there's only one screening of each movie. That's also some serious train rides! Man, I'm gonna be on that train something chronic! Maybe I can see if there is a hostel nearby I can stay at on one of the nights that has a late final session and an early start the next day. Or maybe I'll ask Emma if I can crash at her place? Hmm, we'll see. Thankfully, all the tickets are free so I don't need to worry bout that, but train tickets and food will make up for that. They're all in Melbourne at the Australian Centre of the Moving Image (where I saw All That Jazz recently.) My god, the 3rd of September has me seeing 6 movies! Granted, only one of them is a feature length, but there's three others at 52minutes.

I'd skip Last Train to Freo altogether, but it actually sounds quite good. And I could easily just see Footy Legends in Geelong because that's out nationally. I'm not seeing The Caterpillar Wish, Candy, Ten Canoes, Jindabyne or Kokoda because I have already seen them and I'll need rest. All of the titles that haven't already been released are only open for AFI members so I can't even take anybody (except for the days that have Solo and Footy Legends, and Kenny and 2:37)

Hmm, so many movies! I wonder how I'll cope?!
