A note to Australian readers
I'm not sure how many people reading this are Australian, but if you're at all interested in movie-making then next Thursday at 8.30pm SBS is airing an hour-long documentary on the making of Rolf de Heer's absolutely brilliant Ten Canoes. That film, the first ever filmed for it's majority in an indiginous language and filmed in Arnham Land, is a truly special piece of filmmaking (it's gonna be a major factor in my 2006 UMAs y'all) and I'm sure this little doco is gonna be great fun, whether you've seen the film or not. Those actors were a hoot, especially Richard Birrinbirrin who's "Honey Eater" was one of the more refreshing comic-reliefs in a film lately. Definitely try and catch Ten Canoes if you can, you won't regret it.
