Superman Returns... sorta

Just a quick word on Superman Returns as a lot has already been said about it. Basically, I'm torn.

On the first hand:
This movie is absolutely ridiculous. There is so much laughable crap happening in this movie that was just absurd. There are so many annoying things about it, basically all revolving around the three main characters, which is never a good thing? Why is Lois Lane such a whiney, clingy, desperate bitch? Why is Lex Luther such a dull and one-noter that should be a comic sidekick more than anything. And why is Superman just so blah. HIS HAIR PISSES ME OFF! A lot of things bugged me. And that whole Luther plan was just... ridiculous. Just... irritating.

On the second hand:
I actually didn't mind it. Parts of it were quite well done and it certainly didn't feel like two and a half hours. Brandon Routh wasn't that bad and he's definitely all-american-boy good looking. The best was obviously Parker Posey. She's so delightfully bonkers as she always seems to be involved in some form of in-joke that only she knows about.

So, yeah - it was annoying and completely stupid, but I didn't feel completely insulted like I did with stuff like War of the Worlds, and it wasn't so haphazardly done like Revenge of the Sith. C+
