MIFF

So I was going over the programme for the 55th Melbourne Internation Film Festival, and it's very frustrating. There are whole lot of movies I'd love to see, but also not that many - if that makes sense.

I mean, I'd love to be able to go see all these obscure movies that will either take a long time to get a theatrical/straight-to-dvd release, but at the same time I don't have money to spend on just any movies. There are a few titles that I recognise - some such as A Prairie Home Companion and An Inconvenient Truth will get pretty solid releases so I don't need to bother with them - and then some such as Sherrybaby and This Films Is Not Yet Rated really do scream out at me. But there's a whole lotta titles that I've never even heard of before (that's the whole point of it, I suppose).

But, because I need to take the train up to Melbourne (money) and then go see the movies and come back (money, money) it gets hard. Especially considering most of the good sessions are towards night. Blah. Maybe I'll try and see something. But what? Hmmm.
