Yes. You heard correctly. JANUARY. Ya know... the month that in recent years has brought us such classics as Big Momma's House 2, Along Came Polly, Underworld: Evolution, White Noise, Hide and Seek, Are We There Yet?, Snow Dogs, Just Married, Kangaroo Jack, You Got Served, Racing Stripes and the piece de resistance... NATIONAL SECURITY.Now, there have been some good movies released in January but they are almost exclusively Oscar titles that opened briefly and then expanded nationwide in the first month of the year.
Now, I didn't think Zodiac was going to be an Oscar movie, but the mere fact that it's being moved to the good-free zone of January scares the bejesus outta me. A David Fincher thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr and Mark Ruffalo, about a serial killer just does not scream JANUARY to me. This just makes me assume that the movie is bad and they're dumping it, hoping to scrounge up some quick cash so they can get it off their hands. I hope I'm wrong. I'm now even more scared about this one than I am Jesse James, which is even more baffling considering it seemed to Oscar-calibre. Oh well.
And on top of that, he have Dr Uwe Boll propositioning his critics to a fight. Uwe Boll is one of the worst directors around today and apparently he's had enough and is telling his critics to come forward so they can fight live for everyone on the Internet to see.

hum? I didn't think Jake had a prayer at an oscar nom for this film, but now I definitly sure.

I never saw it as an Oscar film but I at least thought it was going to be good but the January release just eliminates that possibility i fear.
