Random stuff

The Cannes line-up is looking might-fine by my standings. Possible titles that are looking likely are David Lynch's Inland Empire (My #1 2006 title), Sofia Coppola's Marie-Antionette (my #2 if I remember correctly), Almodovar's Volver (was in my #5) as well as Iñárritu's Babel which I can't remember where it was placed on my list. Aronofski's The Fountain is also looking like a possibility (if it's finished in time for starters) which was also in my Top 10 2006 titles. Oh, and look! A new Ken Loach movie. People surely have learnt their lesson and go into his movies already depressed. While I've never seen any of his movies unfortunately, Aki Kaurismaki's new movie seems likely as well.

OMG!!! "Commentary by producer Bruce Gilbert and actors Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton"
Someone buy this for me plz. I'll send them my home address in an email and they can ship it down!

John Lithgow talks about Dreamgirls - In the latter, he plays a character written especially for the feature adaptation of the Broadway hit - a 1970s-era Hollywood producer "who meets Beyonce's character when she chooses to have a career in movies. He eats her alive," reports Lithgow with a naughty laugh. "He is not a nice man." And his look - "Wait until you see my hair. It's very 1974."

The esteemed actor calls Beyonce "magnificent in this film - enchanting. It's a gigantic challenge, a huge role. But I now can't imagine anyone else doing it."

hmmm.... Could we have another person in the Best Supporting Actor race? We know they like Lithgow even when he's the worst part of their favourite movie (I speak of Terms of Endearment) so we'll see. Could we see John AND Eddie nominated? And, Beyonce... I still find it highly possible that she could WIN the Golden Globe (Madonna for Evita plz) and even get an Oscar nod. Hmm... we'll find out in approximately 8 months time. YAY (???)

I hope Phillip Noyce gets to make these projects cause they sound ace. Especially Proving Ground, which could turn out to be spectacular. That was such a nasty couple of days on the ocean.

this is worthy of Showgirls level laughs, really.

Peace out.

I don't know about Beyoncé winning the globe, but I see no one else on the horizon who looks like a possible winner, so who knows. The film'd have to bomb though for her to not get the globe nomination.

I hope that Mother Theresa biopic is at least about her in her youth... otherwise even considering her is more than funny, it's absurd. OK, it's absurd anyway. God.

Yeah, no matter what - it's gonna be absurd.

Did Mother Theresa have a prada bag?
