They Shoot Pictures, Don't They has an exhaustive bunch of lists. I can't believe how much work must've been put into that. That's so impressive.
Interesting to note, is on this page that lists the top films of the current millenium, Brokeback Mountain achieves #32 status, while Crash? Crash comes in at #169. Good Night, and Good Luck gets #53, Munich reached #58 and Capote gets #63. Interesting though, is that A History of Violence managed #8!
I love that Moulin Rouge! at #31 and Brokeback are side-by-side.
The #1 film of the current millenium due to their critical assessment? The one and only Mulholland Drive. Can't argue with that.
I'm going to sleep now. Ciao, bellas.

Am loving the list. Well, not really, but it could be a lot worse.
Fun list. Don't totally agree, but their choices are quite respectable. How exactly was this decided? "Most acclaimed films"? ...hmmm...
Yeah, I love that School of Rock and Kung Fu Hustle were above Crash.
Yeah, and look how VERY low A Beautiful Mind is... hahaha. Below every other best pic nominee that year, along with Hedwig, Mulholland, In the Mood for Love, Tenenbaums, and so many others.
And what is AiA doing at #250? That's stupid. If it IS really a movie, it deserves to be higher. If not, it shouldn't be there. I think they're hedging. Whatever.
The reason it's #250 is because if memory serves me correct, there was ONE solitary critic who placed it at #1 on his top 10 because he was annoyed that critics are routinely not allowed to put tv films on their lists. So he put it on there because he loved it so much.
I believe the list is calculated through critics top 10s, group top 10s all that sorta stuff. Like genin, but a bit different.
(M$R, don't like my list? i'll try better. lol. I'm stealing from you in a couple of days)
