I think the fact that this film by one of my favourite directors (Sofia Coppola) and actresses (Kirsten Dunst) is being released (albeit in America only most likely) on MY BIRTHDAY is a foretelling sign. Mulholland Drive was released on my birthday in 2001 and, well, that turned into a beautiful friendship. Is it too early to announce Judy Davis as the front runner for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar? Cause seriously. Surely she will be.

When A Stranger Calls (Feb. 3)


The only reason I am mentioning this is because I dislike the original. Hate is actually a better word. However, i love the opening scene - "Have you checked the children?" - and so I have some interest in this one because it could very well be improved.

The Da Vinci Code (May 19)


Well, will this fill out the prerequisit "HIT" spot in the Academy's 2007 Top 5? Hmm... i have a feeling it will.

All The King's Men (TBA)


Okay, so Sean Penn with really really bad fake hair does not make me any more excited about this film. Although faith for Oscar-watchers is still present because it does not have a release date yet. Unlike Freedomland which is scheduled for, ahem, February 17. Ouch Julianne, OUCH!
