A Haiku For a Hero(ine)

This part of Nathaniel's Action Heroine blog-a-thon over at The Film Experience. There's a whole bunch of great entries and thankfully they're not all about the women below. Head over there and read them all. Fascinating stuff.

I tried typing something up that was big and profound about each of the four ladies below, but it all sounded like pretentious proposterous wanking, so instead I decided to keep it simple and give each of these four women - my four favourite action (film) heroines - a haiku! Plus, I figured nobody else would be doing these and even if somebody else did then they'll be completely different. So, yeah, here you go. Haiku it up, bitches!

Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) in Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)
Kick arse rock shot arms
To save the future fire away
Compassionate bitch

"The Bride" (Uma Thurman) in Kill Bill (2002, 2003)
Girl knows how to swing
Samurai sword in the bar
Beatrix gets vengeance

Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) in Aliens
Space mother figure
“Get away from her you bitch”
Badder than before

Nikita (Anne Parrilaud) in La Femme Nikita
Rescued from prison
Given gun and a mission
Kill them, save yourself

There are obviously many other heroine's that I adore, but these four stuck out to me, so I chose them. Enjoy the blog-a-thon folks. It'll surely be a doozy.
