Wow, It's true what they've been saying...

"Catch You" is the best thing Sophie Ellis Bextor has ever done. Now I just hope what they say about her album, Trip the Light Fantastic - what a great name? - is true and that it's a brilliant masterpiece. But, for now, Bextor's "Catch You" is pretty much all I can listen to. It's on a consecutive repeat on my iPod.

And then to add to the wonderfulness of it all, there is the video. THE VIDEO! Man, this video is all different kinds of fantastic. Edited and choreographed to the nines, but it all works. I mean, there's Sophie running around Venice trying to find her lost man - cue shots of her pointing in various directions, looking into the distance, searching the personals?! God it's hilarious. I love it.

(VERY) early contender for song the year (edit: already beaten, but it's still great). I have a feeling it's going to be a good year for pop music. I mean, the Pussycat Dolls released their seventh single at the end of 2006 I believe, so surely they can't release any more right? And that's a good thing. A good thing indeed.

Hopefully "crunk" is dead too. God, I really hope so.

Anyway. Sophie is back with a kickass song! She's like Posh Spice, but better.

Is Sophie Aussie or Brit? Anyway, her Murder on the Dance Floor has achived cult status now.

Cool song. Cool video.

Though, I'll always prefer my Scissor Sisters, and their brilliant "Ta-dah", and the amazing "I Don't Feel Like Dancing". Wonderland...

She's a Brit. I relistened to "Murder on the Dancefloor" again last night on her MySpace and I remembered not liking it, but I sorta did last night. Eep.
