The Mysterious Case of the Film that Grossed $30

You have got to read this. Go over to CHUD and read about the thrill-a-minute action film Zyzzyx Road starring Katherine Heigl, Tom Sizemore and Leo Grillio. It was released on February 26 and was closed by March 2 (that's six days folks). In it's oh-so-lengthy theatrical exhibition it grossed a whopping $30! $20 of which, Box Office Mojo tells us, was on opening weekend.

That's a total of three people y'all. THREE. PEOPLE. I can't even fathom that. I've always wondered how amusing it would be to read about the weekend box office (as I do) and read that a movie made zero dollars. And, well, this is probably as good as we're gonna get. Can you believe that? It sits at #8,238 on the All Time Domestic chart. If you click the link to view the chart it only shows movies that made over $100mil, but I think it's safe to assume that it would rank at the very very bottom. Unless a movie some how made less!

God, this is brilliant.

Oh my god. That doesn't really seem possible at all, yet, it's there. Holy freaking crap, right?
