"It's magical. Like something Miramax would shove down the Academy's throat at Oscar time."

I know I just said I didn't have anything to discuss, but now I do! Halleluja (or however it's spelt). I was actually gonna post an open letter to Rob Marshall the other day. I rewatched Chicago and loved it so much (as I did when I first saw it. This is, what? 10 times later?) and then after it was finished I remember Marshall's ill-fated venture into dramatic fare with Memoirs of a Geisha. It was rotten, wasn't it? My letter was to desperately plead to Mr Marshall to please, pretty please return to musicals. Chicago was so good and Geisha was so bad.

Anyway, I didn't end up writing that piece, but today I got happy news. Turns our Rob Marshall is returning to quite substantial bosom of Harvey Wienstein and the comfortable safer confines of the movie musical genre Untitled Rob Marshall Musical that starts filming in the American spring! There's nothing listed at IMDb and I haven't read anything about it anywhere else, but woohoo!

BTW, the quote in the title is from Will & Grace, and it's still quoted to this very day by me and my friend Hannah, even though "Miramax" isn't Miramax anymore. But, still, the line is quite apt.
