Seriously?

Why would you put a trailer for Ice Age 2: The Meltdown infront of The Hills Have Eyes? I hired out the Alexandre Aja remake tonight and put it in only to be confronted by a big COMING SOON logo followed by trailers for the afore mentioned Ice Age sequel, X-Men 3: The Last Stand, Kokoda, The Ringer (The Johnny Knoxville special Olypmics movie) and Basic Instinct 2: Risk Adiction.

I was unaware that we had reverted back to the day of VHS where trailers appeared infront of movies. I actually like it when you're hiring out the movie - makes it feel more cinematic (despite seeing it on a smaller screen, obviously), but I've had this happen even for copies I have purchased from stores. Like, we're already bought it, why are we being subjected to all these trailers and ads (yeah, I'm not even discussing that stupid anti-piracy trailer that plays at the cinema and on DVDs - how do they know I wouldn't steal a purse? Or a car? If I do, does that make it alright to steal movies too? Oops, I did end up discussing that ad. Oh well).

At least I could skip the ones on The Hills Have Eyes. I've had them before when I couldn't even do that! It's annoying. The DVD industry is really screwed up sometimes.

Yeah, this entry really had no point. I just thought it was stupid that they put an Ice Age trailer (rated G I believe) in front of The Hills Have Eyes (rated R18+). Moving On.
