I honestly can't believe how upset I am over Steve Irwin's death. Like, I hadn't watched his television show since the late '90s. There's television tributes up the wazoo this week and they're all sort of repeating the same thing. But, yeah, it's weird how strongly I've reacted to this news. It's seriously really really sad. :(
In a completely unrelated note, the trailer for The Queen has made me much more interested. James Cromwell's "What has she done now?" line towards the start is creepy.

sad? really? i guess it is in theory but i'm not the slightest bit moved. i am amazed at just how famous he is/was - i had no idea; i thought he was some cult figure like con the fruiterer or sharon strezlecki.
Oh, but he is known alright. Like, even in Uruguay, everybody knows him.
