Goya's/Perfume Posters
Just saw these posters on Internet Movie Posters for two movies that are quite high anticipated by certain people. I am definitely loving the design for Tykwer's (Run Lola Run) latest, Perfume. I am disappointed by Milos Forman's Goya's Ghosts poster. Forman movies usually have such interesting posters (who can forget the amazing posters for The People Vs. Larry Flynt?) The poster for Goya's Ghosts doesn't make it look any more special (which I'm sure it is) than something like Copying Beethoven. Oh well, here they are for your viewing pleasure. Let your eyes drown over Perfume (I do find it slightly ironic that a movie with the title Perfume is gonna look exquisite.)

If "Perfume" is half as great as its poster *or* its teaser, we're in for something truly special.
I don't think that the Goya's Ghosts poster is not an official poster.
...or half as great as the book Javi.
perfume's poster is really good...
and goya's ghosts...i just feel like it'll be a stinker so maybe it deservers a stinker poster.

FF, you mean you don't think it's the official one? Have you seen a different one?
I'm not usually a fan of the "floating head syndrome" on promotional material, but I like how the two are part of a brush stroke. At least they're trying to add something beyond "here are the stars, see the movie."
I really, really hope that this gets distribution in the North American market.
Oh, also, my apologies for being especially contrarian today, but why the appreciation for the Perfume poster? It looks like something you'd see on a sleazy direct-to-video release. Like the kind old man would come in to rent minutes before closing time at the rental place I used to work at.
Er, that's supposed to read "Like the kind OF old man..."
Don't mind me, I'm unusually hyper tonight.
I like the imagery of a woman disappearing before our eyes. It IS almost erotic. And I love that juxtaposition with the title Perfume: The Story of a Murderer.
But, that's just me. I don't know about anyone else.
I saw the trailer to Perfume, with the girl and the potatoes and the guy. OMG. Looks SO good.
Are you sure that was a potato??
