The Boy From OMG!

Two Hugh Jackman posts in one day is always a good thing! This post actually has a much less gratuitous reason behind it (unlike this one).

It turns out that The Boy From Oz is becoming a film! While they don't say anything about whether it will be an Australian film (it should be!!), or casting details (it's still years off of being made), but you can bet your arse that if Hugh ain't in it then it won't get made. Hugh has said many a time that he wants to make screen musicals, so this would be great for him! Plus, from what I've heard, the whole thing lends itself to cinema. But, yeah, still, multiple years away.

My favourite part of the article was Ben Gannon's comment:

"Unlike a lot of musicals where you have to force people to suddenly start singing, this is the story about people who are performers ... so you can actually have them singing for a very legitimate reason rather than singing while they are washing the dishes."

LOL. I don't remember any musicals with dish washing numbers. Really though, I just love Hugh. I'll take him where I can get him.
