Each entry from now on will have a small written part to go along with it. In the next batch we have sexual ladies and "ladies", two swords-people and three dancers. Hmmm. Ciao.

I'm loving the love for Cate Blanchett!! Also great list so far!! That said, I'm not sure what the hell Michelle Williams is doing so high ;)

I sense Ralph and Rachel coming, or rather, I'm hoping for them to come :)

Yeah, Michelle Williams is pretty darn high... I hope Weisz, Bello, and/or Adams are coming up later... I thought they were all a bit better than her.

Good stuff, Glenn. I love all these performances, except the odd ones here or there (Rush in Quills, Gyllenhaal in Darko, Witherspoon in Legally Blonde, Eastwood in M$B - good, but not particularly noteworthy). But otherwise, the majority of these would make my theoretical list.

I agree with Javier - any list that has several Blanchett performances featured is a good one.

And it's great that Zellwegger's Bridget Jones placed so high. I'd give her Best Actress that year (yes, even in the year of Naomi Watts and Lynch).

Oh and Ali, I know Rush's style isn't popular with some people but I really love his manic over-the-top Marquis de Sade. COMPLETELY what the character (and the film) required.

Oh, and Adam, Junebug ain't out in Australia yet. So no Amy Adams I'm afraid.
